Upcut Roughing spirals have an upward spiral geometry with a serrated cutting surface for removing large amounts of material quickly and efficiently by breaking up the chips to reduce the cutting force.

Best suited for rough sizing thick materials or deep grooving, not recommended for thin or soft materials.
